Eastern Promises

Cuppa Coffee was again enlisted by David Cronenberg to provide the title sequence for Eastern Promises. This marks the third time the two parties have collaborated, with Cuppa Coffee previously providing credits for Cronenberg's eXistenZ and Spider.
The typographic credits are presented along with large black and white photographs of body parts adorned with iconic Russian criminal tattoos.

Inspired by the meditative final scene of the film, the slow and deliberate presentation of the tattoo imagery creates a contemplative rhythm for the audience as they watch the visual epilogue unfold.
